Hello, We are very excited because our recent survey of our patients indicated that you want to tailor how you are communicated to by our front office staff. Over 400 patients have indicated that text message is their preferred way of communicating for upcoming appointments. Over 1,000 dental patients have indicated that email is the preferred method of communication. Many of you still prefer a human voice and an old fashioned phone call. All of this is great news because we aim to please at Grand Dental Studio (www.dentistokc.com). Thank you for your feedback.
Sincerely,
Michael Kirk DDS
Janice Henry DDS
Many of you have noticed that we have stopped sending reminder cards for dental hygiene appointments in the mail. Not only did we feel that this was not the best way to communicate with you but we also want to be mindful of our environment. So, we stopped wasting paper. At Grand Dental, we have made it a primary goal for 2010 to improve patient communication. We want to know what you prefer. Some people want personal communication and others prefer voice mail. Many of you like to have a text message sent to your mobile phone and others prefer email. In an effort to be constantly improving our patient experience, we would like to have your feedback. Please email us at info@dentistokc.com and tell us how you prefer to be communicated with in the future. For those of you who don’t email, look for the front office to ask you about this subject at your next regularly scheduled appointment. Email us your preferences by March 31st and be registered to win special prizes!
Grand Dental Studio has added water heaters in our treatment rooms. No more cold water on your sensitive teeth. We have been testing the water heaters for about a month and the response from patients has been overwhelming. Everyone likes warm water running over their gums versus ice cold water. Ah … this is nice. We have upgraded all treatment rooms with the warm water heaters.

Grand Dental Studio offers sedation dentistry also known as sleep dentistry. Are you delaying treatment you need or want? Terrified to pick up the phone to schedule because of painful procedures in the past? Have trouble gagging or getting numb? Overwhelmed by thoughts of repeated visits to the dentist? Experiencing dental pain? Looking to smile again with confidence? If you answered yes to one or more of the questions above, you are not alone. Sedation dentistry may be the right choice for you.
Comfort is an important part of great patient care and we will do all that we can to make you comfortable while in our dental office. Many patients want or require additional methods to help them relax. For your utmost safety and comfort, we work with highly trained anesthesiologists who can provide IV sedation in our dental office so that you can be completely sedated for the dental treatment. We also offer a mild oral sedative (pill) and nitrous oxide (laughing gas).
“We want to do everything possible to make dentistry comfortable so that people get the treatment that they need and do not delay going to the dentist because of fear”, stated Dr. Michael Kirk. “Whenever we can get more people to take care of their dental health, we are doing a good thing for our community”, added Dr. Kirk.
